Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Arnis.io, an independent online service for generating Minecraft world files from selected real-world map areas. By using the service, submitting a generation job, starting checkout, or downloading a generated file, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Arnis.io provides browser tools and server-side generation powered by the open-source Arnis project. The service converts selected public map, building, road, land-use, and terrain data into downloadable Minecraft world files, including Java ZIP world folders and Bedrock MCWORLD files when those formats are supported by the connected generation API.
2. Independent Minecraft service
Arnis.io is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by, endorsed by, or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. Minecraft names, marks, and related assets belong to their respective owners. Your use of Minecraft and imported worlds remains subject to the Minecraft EULA, usage guidelines, marketplace rules, and platform rules that apply to you.
3. Eligibility and no account requirement
You do not need an Arnis.io account to generate a map. You must be at least 13 years old to use the service, and at least 16 in the EEA, UK, or any other place where that higher minimum age applies unless a parent or legal guardian has consented as required by law. If you use Arnis.io for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
4. Your selections and operating license
You are responsible for the map area, spawn point, options, world format, and other settings you choose. You grant Arnis.io a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process your selected coordinates, generation settings, job status, generated files, download tokens, support messages, and payment status solely to operate, secure, deliver, troubleshoot, refund, and improve the service. Avoid sending sensitive personal information in map selections or support messages.
5. Map data and generated output
Generated worlds are automated previews based on public geographic data, including OpenStreetMap data and terrain datasets where available. Roads, buildings, land cover, elevation, interiors, and other features may be missing, outdated, simplified, or different from the real location. As between you and Arnis.io, you may use generated worlds for lawful personal projects, servers, videos, streams, and other content, subject to these Terms, Minecraft rules, OpenStreetMap attribution and license requirements, and any third-party rights.
6. Generation limits and availability
Area limits, queue limits, rate limits, supported formats, generation options, estimated runtimes, and maximum job duration are controlled by the current web app and generation API configuration. Larger paid tiers may be unavailable while capacity is limited. We may reject, throttle, pause, expire, or delete jobs that are too large, abusive, risky, technically unsupported, or likely to overload the service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or successful generation for every location.
7. Payments, taxes, and checkout
When paid downloads are available, checkout unlocks access to the completed file for the selected generation job. Prices, currency, supported tiers, taxes, and checkout availability are shown before payment and may change as the service evolves. Payments are processed through Stripe or related payment services. Checkout may identify Stripe, Link, LLC, or another payment provider, merchant of record, or seller of record for your transaction; where that applies, that entity may handle payment processing, tax calculation and remittance, refunds, chargebacks, and disputes under its own terms. Arnis.io does not store your full card number.
8. Delivery, download window, and refunds
We aim to make completed files available promptly after generation and successful checkout, but generation time depends on area size, map density, terrain data, selected options, queue load, and infrastructure health. Completed files and download tokens are available only for a limited delivery window, which may be short and is currently configured by the service rather than guaranteed as permanent storage. Download your world promptly. If you paid and generation fails, no completed file is made available, a stated delivery window is missed because of our systems, or a technical issue on our side prevents download during the availability window, contact support@arnis.io for a refund or retry. We generally do not refund a successfully delivered generation merely because public map data was incomplete, the selected area was not what you intended, or you chose the wrong format.
9. EU and UK consumer rights
If you are a consumer in the EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protections, nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived by contract. Because Arnis.io provides digital services and digital content generated to your specifications, and because generation may begin immediately after you submit a job or complete checkout, your withdrawal and cancellation rights may be affected only where applicable law permits and only after any consent or acknowledgment required by law. Where mandatory law gives you a remedy, refund, repair, replacement, cancellation right, or local forum right, we will honor it.
10. Acceptable use
You agree to use Arnis.io lawfully and responsibly. Prohibited activity includes infringing intellectual property or privacy rights, harassing others, bypassing payment or download controls, forging or sharing download tokens, overloading the queue, scraping or mirroring the service at scale, probing or attacking security, reverse engineering private APIs, uploading malware, interfering with infrastructure, or using generated output in a way that violates third-party rights. We may suspend jobs, block requests, or remove access when we reasonably believe misuse has occurred.
11. Third-party services and links
Arnis.io relies on service providers such as hosting, storage, monitoring, security, email, payment processing, OpenStreetMap-related map services, and other infrastructure providers. Those providers may process data as described in our Privacy Policy or their own terms. Third-party links are provided for convenience, and we are not responsible for third-party services, websites, data sources, policies, outages, or fees.
12. Intellectual property and feedback
The Arnis.io website, interface, branding, service code, text, and other materials we create are owned by us or our licensors, except for open-source components and third-party materials. The Arnis generator project is open source under its own license. If you send ideas, bug reports, or feedback, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to use them without obligation to you.
13. Copyright and IP complaints
If you believe content, output, or material linked through Arnis.io infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, email support@arnis.io with your contact information, identification of the protected work, the allegedly infringing material or URL, a good-faith statement, a statement that the information is accurate, and your physical or electronic signature. A DMCA-style notice is acceptable for U.S. copyright notices. We may remove or disable access and may terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.
14. Privacy and security
Your use of Arnis.io is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the service, but no online service is perfectly secure. You are responsible for keeping download links, tokens, receipts, and support correspondence private.
15. Changes to the service and these Terms
We may update, suspend, limit, or discontinue parts of the service, change pricing or limits, add or remove supported formats, and revise these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date and, where appropriate, additional notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
16. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Arnis.io is provided as is and as available without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, compatibility, availability, or error-free operation. We do not warrant that generated worlds will match real locations, work with every Minecraft version, satisfy professional, educational, commercial, or safety needs, or remain available after the download window. Mandatory consumer rights are not excluded.
17. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Arnis.io and its operators, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of data, lost opportunity, business interruption, or costs of substitute services. Our total liability for claims arising from or relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid for the affected generation job or, if no amount was paid, USD 100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where such limits are not allowed.
18. Governing law and disputes
Unless mandatory law gives you other rights, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you may still rely on mandatory consumer protections and bring claims in the courts or forums available under the laws of your habitual residence. The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform, although availability and participation requirements may change.
19. Miscellaneous
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Arnis.io for use of the service. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them to an affiliate, successor, or acquirer. Arnis.io is powered in part by the open-source Arnis project, which is licensed under the Apache License 2.0. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Translations are provided for convenience, and the English version controls to the extent permitted by law.
20. Contact
For support, billing, refund, privacy, copyright, or legal questions, email support@arnis.io and include enough information for us to identify the relevant job, order, download, or support conversation.
